Aaliyah’s Sophomore Release, “One In A Million”, now available via streaming platforms…

It’s been twenty years since the tragic death of R&B singer Aaliyah, who perished along with eight others in a 2001 plane crash following the shooting of her music video, “Rock The Boat”:

Shortly following her death, her catalog disappeared from all streaming platforms. Fans have long-expressed their disappointment in not being able to access her music throughout the years. Throughout that time, the late singer’s estate has worked tirelessly at preserving her legacy and satisfying her fan base. The wait has ended, as fans saw the re-release of her sophomore effort, “One In A Million”.

This release is only one in a series, as the soundtrack for “Romeo Must Die”, her final release “Aaliyah”, and her posthumous release “I Care 4 U” will all be released throughout the month of September.

While Aaliyah had certainly made a name for herself with her debut release, which was produced by R&B singer R. Kelly, “One In A Million” catapulted her to an even bigger status, as it featured the production work of Missy Elliott and Timbaland, While she was already a household name with “Age Ain’t Nothin’ But A Number”, this release made her an even greater success with the proven hits “One In A Million”, “If Your Girl Only Knew”, and “Hot Like Fire”.

“One In A Million” has now been made available through a joint venture with Empire and Blackground Records 2.0.
