Gee Wunder is a music industry veteran and a motivational hip hop artist from Toronto. grew up on Jane Street in Toronto, an environment which sparked his interest in hip-hop music as he watched local acts such as Dream Warriors, HDV and Maestro build their careers at home and abroad. 's first inroads into the music industry, as an artist, was through a local community radio station and working with other successful artists such as; K.Force, Thrust and Frankenstein.
Throughout the course of his career has worked with artists such as Tommy Spitz, Cory Lee, Set 2, Eazyano, JB and others and has shared the stage with international artists such as; Nas, Busta Rhymes, Swollen Members, DasEfx, Machine Gun Kelly, Lloyd Banks, Ed OG and Onyx.
In 2005, was featured on Toronto commercial radio station Flow 93.5 when he released his first commercial track called “Got The Feelin'” featuring artist E3.
In 2008, released his debut street album called “Street Knowledge”, which was warmly embraced by the streets, as well as Canadian college radio. The album's debut charted in the top 10 of college radio in several provinces.
In 2009 released his second album in the series called “Hood Politics” (Street Album II) via URBNET Digital.
2010 saw the third release in the Street Album series named “For The People” (Street Album III). This album featured a song called “Okay, Okay, Okay” (and its remix) for which two music videos were shot and received considerable amounts of play on MuchVibe and AuxTV, respectively. Gee also performed at Canadian Music Week .
In 2011 was a triumphant year for and his Motive Music label collaborated with Young Snag, JB and, Lils the General, on the Wilfred Laurier Remix video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF1LwXuARGg. In the same year
touched audiences in Edmonton, Orillia and Toronto with his energetic live performances alongside Swollen Members , Rochester, DJ Scratch from The Roots. In June, released a collaboration album with Scarborough artist Abaddon entitled 'Culture Rap'. In August the first official project through Gee’s Motive Music's new distribution deal with Fontana North was released. The release, 'Disco Nights: Vol.1' LP by Gee's group "The City" (which includes actress and singer Cory Lee) was very well received. Two MuchFACT sponsored big-budget music videos filmed for two of the songs off the LP: 'Make Some Money' and 'Disco Nights'. Both videos received rave reviews and respectable single sales. 2011 also saw the release of Gee's fourth Street Album called 'Consistency' (Street Album 4).
In 2012 released his debut studio album entitled 'Beats, Bars & Hooks' The first two video singles
'Riderz' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojxUNGts9i0 and 'See You Hatin' http://youtu.be/KrHI86qrA5M, were in rotation on MuchMusic, MuchVibe and AuxTV. Gee and his Motive Music team embarked on a four-city promotional album tour hitting London, ON Feb. 23, Toronto on Feb. 26th and Kingston, Ontario on May 11. On February 19th, 2012 Gee performed at Club Soda in Montreal alongside artists; Raz Fresco, David Hodges and, The Honest Gentlemen, as an opening act for Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest. On March 24th Gee threw his First Annual Canadian Music Week Showcase featuring; JB, Hype, Nyce Touch, Mezziah, Tre Nice, Adam D, Roc Da House, S. Davis and others. In the Fall of 2012 released his fifth Street Album "The Grind" and continued to tour across Ontario.
In 2013 Gee's Motive Music label continued to grow and churn out product. February 2013 saw the release of Gee's second artist-collaboration project "The Connect" LP with B Money Grenier. In May of 2013 Motive Music Artist Dusty Wallace released his "Money Train Mechanic" LP on Slyda Music Ent./Motive Music/Fontana North. In June released his 6th solo Mixtape "F.A.M.E." (Fashion.Arts.Music.Entertainment). In July 2013 's artist T. Major released his second Mixtape "The World Iz Major 2" while Gee’s other artist Hype released his debut LP “Can’t Calm Down”. In 2013 Gee performed on over 20 shows including stops in Kingston, Sudbury and Toronto and shared stages with Shi Wisdom, Machine Gun Kelly, Tech n9ne, Blaq Roche, IllVibe and others.
2014 saw the momentum continue as Gee released his 13th full-length project since 2008, Record Mode LP, a collaborative LP with T. Major called “The Way We Live” LP and a third full-length solo project titled “The Journey” all via Motive Music/Fontana North. Releases by B Money Grenier were also released in conjunction with Motive Music. Gee also performed on 20+ shows sharing stages with Onyx, Ed OG and Lloyd Banks.
