With almost 10 years in the rap game JD ERA has been considered a staple artist in Toronto’s musical landscape.  Local and international radio stations have continuously shown support of ERA and his music by spinning his records and hosting him for several on-air interviews.  He has collaborated with some of today’s most known artists and worked with several top producers.  Boasting a million plus views on YouTube and an overall steady online following, JD ERA continues to make his mark and take his place in the music industry.  He is applauded by industry professionals for his flow and lyricism, but is most known for his unmatchable freestyle ability. As ERA prepares to release his next full-length project there is no question that his past will serve him well, but his unrelenting demeanor will ensure he sees the success he’s been working towards.

JD ERA is considered “that artist” that can jump on anything and instantly flow.  He is often sought after to be a feature, co-writer, and ghostwriter on the projects of his peers.  His raw skill and ability has earned him performance spots alongside artists like Nas, Kardinal Offishall, Tyga, members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Gucci Mane, and fellow Toronto artist Drake in the past.  Currently ERA is locked-in to tour with Machine Gun Kelly during the latter part of 2015 to early 2016.

When it comes to nominations, awards, and recognition there’s no shortage for ERA.  He’s been nominated for everything from local radio station awards to the prestigious Junos.  Several times JD ERA has taken home the hardware and bragging rights for competitions, most notably the TAG Records’ Survival of the Freshest Competition and the Marc Ecko Freestyle Competition.  Back in 2011 he secured a theme song spot on The Score Network’s “Court Surfing” NBA program that was nationally broadcasted across Canada, and because of his talent and likability he was brought back again for the 2012 season.  In additional to being well received on radio airwaves, some of his videos have charted various music countdowns including 2 that appeared on the Much Music Countdown.  ERA also spent a brief period of time on Raekwon’s (Wu-Tang Clan) Canadian imprint label ICE H20.

With his trademark “in your face” approach JD Era is well on his way to infiltrating the music industry worldwide.  He has 5 mixtapes and a full length album already in the bag with another on the way.  His next release is expected to be his second official album, and is rumored to feature such artists as Freddie Gibbs and Son Real over production provided by the likes of Boi 1-Da, Rich Kidd, and Burd x Keys to name a few.  Be sure to stay tuned and lookout for the release in late 2015 to early 2016.
